Dive into the Viral Dumpling Lasagna, where tender dumplings meet rich marinara and creamy cheeses. This comforting dish is a fusion of flavors that’s easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16 oz) of frozen dumplings (chicken or vegetable)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Step 2: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish, just enough to cover it.
  3. Step 3: Arrange half of the frozen dumplings over the marinara sauce in a single layer, followed by dollops of ricotta cheese, a sprinkle of Italian seasoning, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  4. Step 4: Pour another layer of marinara sauce over the first layer and repeat the process with the remaining dumplings, ricotta, Italian seasoning, and mozzarella cheese. Finish with a final layer of marinara sauce on top.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top layer and cover the baking dish with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Step 6: Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For optimal storage, keep any leftover Viral Dumpling Lasagna in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze it for longer-lasting enjoyment.
  • To reheat, simply place individual portions in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or warm the entire dish in a 350°F (175°C) oven until heated through and bubbly.
  • For serving, elevate your dish with a sprinkle of fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil for an extra burst of flavor and a touch of elegance.
  • A chef's tip: feel free to customize your lasagna by adding sautéed vegetables or cooked ground meat between the layers for added texture and taste.
