Dive into our Crab Rangoon Dip! Creamy softened cream cheese, savory crab, soy, and a hint of sweet chili bake into a golden, irresistible party hit. Full instructions and nutritional facts inside.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened (two 8 oz blocks)
  • 8 oz imitation crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large mixing bowl, ensure the cream cheese is softened, then add the mayonnaise, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and sweet chili sauce. Beat with an electric mixer or whisk until smooth and well combined.
  2. Step 2: Gently fold in the flaked crab meat and about three-quarters of the thinly sliced green onions into the cream cheese mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as you want some texture from the crab.
  3. Step 3: Transfer the mixture to a shallow 9-inch pie plate or a small oven-safe baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. Step 4: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly around the edges, and slightly golden brown on top.
  5. Step 5: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with the remaining sliced green onions before serving. Serve hot with toasted wonton chips, crackers, or pita bread.

Notes

  • Keep any fantastic leftovers sealed in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days; it's a treat even when enjoyed chilled!
  • When it’s time for an encore, gently warm individual servings in the microwave, or for a bigger batch, bake in the oven at 300°F (150°C) until bubbly, adding a tiny splash of milk or cream if it needs a moisture boost.
  • Go beyond the usual and serve this creamy dip with crisp cucumber rounds, sturdy endive spears, or even mini rice crackers for a delightful, varied spread.
  • For the smoothest dip imaginable, make sure your cream cheese is exceptionally soft; a little extra green onion mixed in or a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds on top can also elevate both flavor and presentation.
